The Bireun Sigli Production Sharing Contract (PSC) is located onshore
in Aceh Province, covering an extensive area of 4,845.02 sq km, this
block operates under a PSC Cost Recovery scheme with contract
term, spanning from 2023 to July 2053. The Bireun Sigli PSC is owned
by shareholders EMP (64%), PEMA (20%), and KIP (16%), ensuring a
strong partnership for resource development.
As the operator of the Bireun Sigli PSC, the company is actively
engaged in various upstream activities, including G&G studies, 3D
seismic acquisition programs, drilling programs, and infrastructure
improvements to optimize oil and gas production. Leveraging on
technology and best industry practices, the operation aims to
maximize resource recovery while maintaining environmental and
safety standards. Oil will be sold via the Arun facility, which is located
approximately 70 km from Bireun Sigli PSC. Gas will be delivered to the
Arun Gas Plant and tied into the Arun – Belawan pipeline to access the
North Sumatera market. With ongoing investment and development
efforts, the asset is expected to play a crucial role in meeting domestic
energy demand.
Looking ahead, the Bireun Sigli PSC is committed to sustainable
production growth through continued exploration and operational
efficiency. Future initiatives include increasing drilling activities,
improving reservoir management, and strengthening partnerships to
enhance production capacity.
