Siak PSC is an oil and gas working area located in Siak Regency, Riau
Province, Indonesia, covering a total area of 2,287.17 km². The block
operates under a Cost Recovery scheme and is 90% owned by PT EMP
Energi Gandewa and 10% by PT Riau Petroleum Siak (Local
Government Owned Company). The contract period runs from 2014
to 2034. Strategically positioned adjacent to the the Rokan PSC, Siak
PSC consists of multiple key areas, including Area 1, Area 2, Area 3, and
Area 4, which have been identified as prospective zones for
hydrocarbon accumulation. The presence of fields such as Batang,
Lindai, and Meso further highlight the block’s importance in
supporting regional energy production.
As part of its operation strategy, Siak PSC continues to focus on
maximizing production efficiency while identifying new opportunities
for reserve growth. Advanced geological and geophysical, reservoir
studies are being conducted to enhance field development planning,
with seismic reprocessing, workover & well service activities, and
drilling programs playing a crucial role in maximizing reservoir
potential. These initiatives align with the broader objective of ensuring
long-term sustainability and profitability in the block’s operations.
Moving forward, Siak PSC remains committed to implementing
exploration and production strategies that optimize recovery while
maintaining environmental and operational efficiency. The block’s crude
oil offtaker is PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional, ensuring a steady buyer
for its production. With continued investment in infrastructure and field
development, Siak PSC aims to enhance its contribution within the
region’s upstream oil and gas industry.
