Jakarta, 28 August 2026 – PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (“EMP”) welcomed undergraduate students from Ikatan Ahli Teknik Perminyakan Indonesia Student Member Universitas Indonesia (IATMI SM UI) for a company visit to EMP’s Head Office at Bakrie Tower, Jakarta.
Held under the theme “Empowering Future Generations,” the programme aimed to provide the students with a closer look at the upstream oil and gas industry and an opportunity to learn directly from EMP professionals.
During the visit, the students attended a series of sharing sessions covering EMP’s business and operations, as well as several technical areas including petroleum engineering, geoscience, drilling, technology and infrastructure, and human capital management. The discussions gave students an overview of how knowledge gained at university is applied in day-to-day industry practices.
The programme also introduced the students to internship, practical work, and career opportunities at EMP, including the skills and competencies relevant for those interested in pursuing a career in the energy industry.
They also had the opportunity to visit EMP’s Integrated Operation Center (IOC) and learn how technology, data, and integrated monitoring are used to support the Company’s operations.
The visit was attended by Adinda Bakrie, Director & Chief Business Development of EMP, and welcomed by Tri Firmanto, Director & Chief Operation Asset B of EMP and an alumnus of Chemical Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. In his remarks, Tri encouraged students to continue developing not only their technical knowledge, but also their adaptability, curiosity, and ability to work collaboratively as they prepare to enter the professional world.
For EMP, engagement with universities and student organizations is one way to introduce the energy industry to the younger generation while building connections with potential future talent. Through company visits, internship and practical work programmes, and other university engagement activities, the Company seeks to provide undergraduate students with greater exposure to the workplace and career opportunities within the industry.
The IATMI SM UI company visit reflects EMP’s continued commitment to developing young talent and building future professionals who can contribute to Indonesia’s energy sector.
