Launch of KARTINI EMP ‘Empowering Women in the Workplace’
Jakarta – On February 19, 2025, at the Sopo Del Tower Ballroom, South Jakarta, PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (“EMP”) officially launched the Women’s Worker Association named “KARTINI EMP”, an initiative program aimed at promoting gender equality and creating an inclusive work environment. This program reinforces EMP’s commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all workers, regardless of their gender.
EMP’s Concrete Steps
At the official launch event, attended by around 200 female employees from both Jakarta office and field operations, which also attended by the Board of Commissioners, Directors, and Senior Management, the Chairperson of KARTINI EMP, Mrs. Adinda Bakrie, expressed her pride in this significant step. “KARTINI EMP serves as a platform for women at EMP to grow and contribute more. We want to ensure that every woman has an equal opportunity to reach the peak of their career,” she said.
The launch also serves as tangible proof of EMP’s inclusive policies. Currently, the company has placed women in various strategic positions, including a director, a General Manager, three Vice Presidents and several other managers.
In Line with ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) Goals
KARTINI EMP is also part of EMP’s commitment to the principles of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). Launched on December 22, 2024, this initiative supports business sustainability by placing gender equality as a key pillar in the company’s growth.
EMP’s President Director, Syailendra S. Bakrie, stated that gender equality is not just about fairness, but also about improving productivity and innovation. “Women make significant contributions in the workforce and we want to ensure that every individual can grow according to their potential. KARTINI EMP will be a catalyst for positive change at EMP,” he said.

Vision for the Future
KARTINI EMP aims to create a work environment where women feel valued and have access to equal career opportunities. “We want to build a more supportive work culture and empower women to achieve their best potential,” said Adinda Bakrie.
In line with International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, this program also targets the removal of structural barriers for female workers and aims to build an ecosystem that encourages gender equality.
Collaboration with the Adinda Bakrie Foundation
KARTINI EMP will also collaborate with the Adinda Bakrie Foundation (“ABF”), an organization focused on empowering women through health, mental wellness, leadership, and economic development programs.
“We have worked with various women’s communities and launched several inspiring programs. KARTINI EMP is a strategic partner for ABF, and we hope to create a greater impact together,” explained Adinda Bakrie.
ABF and KARTINI EMP plan to hold talk shows and mentoring sessions featuring inspiring female leaders to build a strong support network for EMP’s female employees.
