Tonga PSC is an onshore oil asset located in Padang Lawas, North
Sumatra, Indonesia, covering a working area of 521.44 km². The block is
100% operated by PT EMP Tonga under a Production Sharing Contract
(PSC) valid until 2037. Currently, the block has undergone production
reactivation and successfully came back on-stream in October 2024.
Crude oil from the field is transported via trucking from Tonga to GS
Lindai, before being delivered through the CPI Petapahan-Dumai pipe￾line to Dumai Sale Point.
Following EMP’s acquisition of the Siak Block in 2024, crude oil delivery
from Tonga Field was rerouted to GS Lindai, significantly reducing
transportation distance from 420 km to 203 km. This operational shift
has improved logistical efficiency and streamlined crude handling.
The first trucking delivery to GS Lindai marked an important milestone
